Arkells - make me :)
Canadian rock band, hailing from Ontario, comes to Town Ballroom. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 the day of (aka tomorrow). Personally, I really enjoy this band its good alternative rock that is a mix of Temper Trap, Foster the People, and another band that I cant think of right now.

Nietzsche’s a Music Oasis.

At first I did not think I would fit into the crowd at Nietzsche’s, but then a random nice and very drunk individual walked up to me and gave me a hug. Its really hard to describe the scene, because there are so many different types of people in the bar. The music however, is mostly indie rock. I am a huge fan of the paper mâché decor and the laid back furniture. Definitely a place true to Allentown. Please check it out, if anything to meet cool people and for a great experience.

248 Allen Street

Street Performance (Around Allentown)

The hip feel of Allentown sometimes reminds me of Greenwich Village. Last night I saw my first Buffalo street performer - he was a lone star playing acoustic originals. The police later gave him a ticket :\ but he remained smiling the entire night.

A walk to First Presbyterian Church and Kleinhans Music Hall.

Newroz Market & Grill بازار نوروز

Before coming to Buffalo, I spent 5 months in the Middle East, specifically Jordan, studying Arabic. As a result, I fell in love with the food and various aspects of the culture. I was very surprised to find that their are many Middle Eastern markets, shops, restaurants, and mosque throughout Buffalo. Recently discovered this place on a trip to Hertel Ave.

Town Ballroom + Mat Kearney = Awesome Night

Last night some friends and I went to see Mat at the Town Ballroom and ended up having a blast. The place is really cool inside, and the crowd, once they got warmed up, was a good set of people to party with. Mat’s opening band The Leagues were pretty good…the lead singer has an awesome voice and my friend thinks they are a mix between Coldplay and the Keanes. Did not know that Mat sung “Nothing Left to Loose,” which is a really good song. Best part of the night was when Mat and the lead singer from the Leagues sang “Pumped Up Kicks”.
