Tea Cup Sized Cafe…offers great Conversation

Today, I went to Cafe Taza in Allentown for the first time for a cup of tea. It is now my favorite Cafe. First off, the Cafe is very small - the size of a NYC Studio; yet it offers a refreshing experience. The size makes for intimacy with everyone that enters, thus conversations and encounters occur constantly. My favorite part of the Cafe is that it is so easygoing. When I came in the gentleman working the cash register greeted me as if he knew me, and when I asked for tea he handed me an assortment of tea bags on a key chain to choose from while we talked. As I realized that I only had card on me (it is a cash only Cafe) he stated, “No worries, consider this as a welcome to Buffalo.” Even though he made this friendly gesture, I later found enough change to pay for my drink.

The two host of the cafe are extremely kind, and while they waited the register they played a game of chess between each other. Later on they sang a few original songs as we talked, making for a great end to my night.
